Matsue National College of Technology is taking various measures to protect students, faculty, staff, and neighbors from natural disasters and unexpected incidents that have occurred frequently in recent years, from the three perspectives of self-help, mutual-help, and public-help.
1.Disaster Prevention Exhibition Space
A disaster prevention exhibition space has been set up in the Matsue National College of Technology building to provide useful information on disaster prevention and introduce stockpiles.

Title: Thinking about community disaster prevention
1.Received the Grand Prize in the 3rd National College of Technology Disaster Prevention Contest
On Monday, March 15, 2021, the 3rd National College of Technology Disaster Prevention Contest (sponsored by the Organization of National Colleges of Technology, Japan and the National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Prevention) held its final judging online, and eight students from the Department of Environmental and Construction Engineering (Honoka ARAKI, Chitose ISHIHARA, keiichiro KATAYOSE, Rei FUJIHARA, Madoka MORI, Yui MISHIMA, Komachi SHINGU, Aimi IINO; their advisor, Yuko Serikawa) won the “Grand Prize” in the student category and the “Consortium for Weather Hazard Mitigation Award”, which was decided by the largest number of votes from the judges on the day of the competition.
